Date closing:

The Fundraising Regulator was launched in 2016 to promote good fundraising by charities and to protect the public from unacceptable fundraising practices. It works with other sector bodies and regulators to ensure that charities and other fundraising organisations understand their responsibilities when it comes to legal, honest, open and respectful fundraising. A key part of the Fundraising Regulator's work is to handle complaints from members of the public about charitable fundraising. Prospectus is proud to be leading the search for the organisation's new Case Manager, who will oversee the day-to-day functions of the complaints department.

Reporting to the Head of Casework and line managing a small team of Case Officers, the Case Manager will play a vital role in assessing complaints according to the regulator's complaints process. They will also respond to individual complaints from members of the public and oversee any proactive investigations in response to public concerns. The Case Manager will provide significant support to the Head of Casework, continually improving efficiency both within the team and the wider organisation. They will have responsibility for ensuring that any themes or wider lessons arising from the regulator's casework are shared across the sector.

To apply for this role, you will be a strong manager with demonstrable experience of successfully managing, supporting and developing people in small teams. You will have significant experience of investigating complaints, and of analysing detailed evidence and exercising judgement in complex situations. You will understand the legal framework in which the Fundraising Regulator operates, as well as the challenges facing fundraising organisations. To apply for this role, you must have exceptional writing skills, as well as strong listening skills, and will have the ability to exercise sound judgement with both tact and diplomacy.

Please apply in the first instance by providing a Word Document copy of your CV - suitable candidates will then be contacted and asked to complete a Supporting Statement.

At Prospectus we invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you with your application. We welcome candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds. Please let us know if we can help you with the application process in any way. We are more than happy to make any reasonable adjustments to enable all interested candidates to apply.
