Trustees and External Advisers
Unrenumerated - reasonable expenses such as travel or childcare may be claimed.
The RCN Foundation is a UK wide independent charity and grant-maker supporting nurses, midwives and healthcare assistants, and is part of the RCN Group. The charity supports and strengthens nursing and midwifery to improve the health and wellbeing of the public.
With the pandemic shining a light on the incredible work of nursing and midwifery teams, this is an opportunity for the new Trustees and External Advisers to play a vital role in supporting the Foundation's work and help shape the UK's healthcare landscape.
We are seeking four Trustees to join the Board:
• Two individuals with a nursing and/or midwifery background - one based in Scotland and a second based in Wales.
• One individual with a financial background ideally in accounting, investments or audit experience.
• One individual with a fundraising and/ or marketing background.
We are seeking External Advisers to join our two substantive Committees - the Grants Committee or the Income Generation & Investment Committee. Advisers should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Benevolent activities
• Marketing and Communications
• Nursing and Midwifery
RCN Foundation is committed to ensuring that principles of equality, diversity and inclusion underpin our approach to our governance, activities, staff and beneficiaries. We know that equality, diversity and inclusion strengthen the work that we do and lead to better outcomes for our beneficiaries, and greater societal impact.
